• Strong programming background, preferably in an embedded environment
• Solid understanding of computer architecture
• Experience with serial protocols (PCIe, SAS, SATA, SCSI) is a plus

Job Description: 

The Product Validation team is responsible for defining, developing and utilizing test tools to ensure that the products designed by LSI Storage Component Group meet all applicable industry standards. This team is continually working with state of the art equipment on leading edge storage silicon.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Developing embedded firmware and or/host software tools
• Developing test scripts to control protocol exercisers
• Working with the software and hardware teams as part of the validation process
• Working with the evaluation board development team on new product requirements
• Collecting analog characterization data
• Creating robust validation test plans
• Working with external customers on initial silicon bring-up
• Training Field Application Engineers on new products
• Working with the Technical Publications group on engineering notes and manuals
