Job Description

The Central QE team is responsible for all System test, Interop and sustenance of several VMware products. The engineers analyze and reproduce customers reported escalations, perform root cause analysis, and provide problem resolution in provide bug fixes and delivering critical software patch releases in a timely manner.

We are seeking Student Interns with Bachelors or Masters with background in Computer Science and Applications.

This is a full time internship for 1 year and Students will need to be in VMware premises on all working days.

Roles & Responsibilities : 

Work on E2E internal project/programs as required by Project Lead, Managers. Project leads and mentors will help Students in designing the application or utility

Work with Project leads to understand the technology area for which the student is selected

Students would be required to help out on release specific tasks which might constitute a max of 20-30%.

Students will be required to write abstracts and project design specs for their class work, which will be based on in-house requirements. Students will need approval from their Manager before these abstracts are presented to the college

Requirements:

Students with good OS knowledge in Linux and Windows internals are preferred. They should have fair understanding of System Administration

Good programming skills in C/C#/Core Java or scripting knowledge in Perl/Python

Knowledge about Database, various flavors of Linux, VMW product would be a plus.

Strong aptitude and willing to learn new concepts

Knowledge about Quality engineering would be a plus.
